MainTasks and Responsibilities

  • Independent execution of design calculations for Formwork, Shoring and Scaffold projects
  • Provide most cost effective technical solutions to Sales Department and client, during meetings or technical site service
  • Preparation of concept design and preliminary calculations during offer phase
  • Preparation of GADs, BQs and statical calculations for offers and orders
  • Instruct Designers in daily operations
  • Responsible for the quality of any document produced by Designers, check assembly and fabrication drawings
  • Brief Formwork Instructors before arrival on site (hand over GADs, BQs and assembly drawings, give relevant "soft" information)
  • Support knowledge transfer and training of colleagues
  • Independent risk management for structural concept of challenging projects
  • Analyses of special items and connections using finite element analysis (FEA)
  • Proactive communication of improvement and cost reduction measures with Project Manager
  • Responsible for preparation of all technical documents for product approval of local items
  • Responsible for preparation of design templates, post Processing files and design table for new product/system

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Civil, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
  • Preferably with experience specializing in Structural Steel Design related to formwork, shoring and scaffolding in Civil / Heavy Duty Construction and High Rise projects in accordance to BS5950 and Eurocode 3
  • Experience in finite element analysis (FEA) using ABAQUS
  • Familiar with AutoCAD software
  • Result oriented personnel
  • Good communication, interpersonal and negotiation skillsEntrepreneurial and self-motivated
