Family companies like PERI are the heart of the German economy. Some 90 % of all firms in our country fit into that bracket. Focus news magazine has reported that more than half of the entire nation's employees work for a family business.

In partnership with Xing, kununu and FOCUS, Statista GmbH, Hamburg, has posed the question for the fourth year in a row to the people who should know best: employees in Germany. In addition to 54 individual aspects of work-relevant themes, the most important question asked in this study, which was based on 70,000 employee responses, was one of recommendation: “On a scale of 0 to 10, how probable is it that you would recommend your employer to a friend or relative?”

The data was recorded anonymously through an online access panel, a survey through Xing, and through the career platform kununu.com, without any employer input – this methodology makes this a unique study in Germany. In total the study received detailed results for 1,307 employers (employing at least 500 people in Germany). The TOP 1,000 employers were named “Best Employer 2016” in collaboration with “FOCUS” magazine. PERI came 151st nationwide.
