Penang Second Crossing Bridge

Penang Second Crossing Bridge
Penang, Malaysia

RM3 billion Penang Second Bridge is built under a co-operative programme between China and Malaysia and it expected to turn the island into a key logistic and transportation hub.  It will link from Batu Maung on the island to Batu Kawan and Seberang Prai on the mainland.

China Harbour Engineering Co. Ltd. (CHEC) and United Engineers Malaysia (UEM) were awarded to design and build this 23.5km bridge termed the "Marine Bridge" with dual two traffic lanes carriageway across the bay.

PERI systems are extremely fast, the handling is easy and so are the installation and operation. When facing any problem, the technical team is on-site immediately. I would use PERI systems again for a new bridge and go further in the partnership in the initial stage. As for the PERI Plywood, we are happy with the durability and finishes. The surface is smooth as a lady's face.
