Construction began in April 2011 with the demolition of the existing building at the site. The IIham Baru Tower (IB Tower) will stand 62 storey tall, adding another landmark to the city centre in 2015.
Requirements
- using top down construction method
- off-form walls with a gradual finish allowing only 3mm of tolerance within 3m to be casted.

This is my most challenging project, it is a chance that one is given only once and I am happy to be able to realise it with PERI formwork.
PERI solution
- PERI supported the contractor with efficient formwork know-how and system equipment
- For the visible reinforced concrete walls and columns with a predetermined joint and tie arrangement, PERI VARIO GT 24 girder was the only suitable system with the exact positioning of the anhor cones.
- PERI ST100 shoring tower was used for forming the floor slabs.
